Well, the key is encripted, I think, and it seems that you either have to do that manually (and the instructions are a bit iffey) or you end up downloading the software version with the key already. You have to uninstall if you ever want to put it on another computer . . ..

Thanks anyway.

Hi Carol,

I ordered it a long time ago, so don't take anything I say here with any
degree of authority, but don't they Email you the key? They did for me, and I simply cut and pasted it in the activation window when installing the real
version.

All the best

Steve

Hi all,

Having just registered diskeeper I can understand why Alex had difficulty.
I'm twirling round in some kind of hurricane here not knowing how to
progress. I got to the end of the process after loads of hassles and now I
can't seem to get to the key! I am totally confused and wonder if someone
who has recently gone through the process may be able to help me.

The problem seems to be that I should have right clicked on the final bit to

get the key and saved it. (Exactly what the file is and what it contains
I'm not sure at all.)

I can't get back to that point either.

I just feel that these computer things are getting so complex and full of
"protection loops" these days that I'm getting lost in the processes.

Alex, I'd be particularly interested to know how you solved what seemed to
be a similar problem the other day.
