You are right – sorry, my fault. It is the shortcut key I have lost – not the
icon itself.

hi steve,
i took it that she had lost the shortcut keystroke rather than the actual icon
as i needed to set up the shortcut keystroke again after installing the update.
it would be strange if the actual icon had gone but the jaws update always gets
rid of whatever keystroke you have setup previously.
perhaps alison could clarify if she ment the shortcut keystroke had disappeared
or if the icon had gone.

Pete, I thought she said she lost the desktop icon? How could she find it, if
it has disappeared? <Smile>.
Easiest way to recreate it, I outlined how to do that in my previous message.
All the best

hi alison,
1 highlight the jaws icon on the desktop
2 bring up the context menu and press enter on properties.
3 press tab twice to get to the shortcut field and then press the key
combination you want to use.
4 tab to the apply button and activate it.
5 finally activate the ok button.
that's it.

Since the recent Jaws update, I’ve lost my desktop shortcut for Jaws. I thought
I remembered how to set it up – but obviously not. Can someone remind me please.
