[access-uk] demon and turnpike

I wonder if anyone on the list can help with an annoying little
conflict.
I recently installed Turnpike 6 which I don't like so want to return
back to Turnpike 5.
uninstalling Turnpike 6 removed the dial-up connection settings.
Re-installing Turnpike 6 restored these, but now unless I have Turnpike
5's mail facility open, the incoming mail is sent to the newer version.
Does anyone know of a work-around?
