[access-uk] deleting the renamed folders and files after system restore?

Hi all.
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me where the renamed folders
and files are kept in windows xp home are stored after system restore?  will
switching system restore off and on again delete the old unwanted data?
 
if not, how is it done?
