Ok so if you just highlighted the message on your phone what options would you
have on the bottom of the screen?

I’m using a 5S but this has worked on the 5 and 4S on the IOS 7 platform I
think it came in with IOS 6 so not sure why it’s not working for you I’m
afraid...

Assuming you are in your inbox and have a list of e-mails, when you are
focused on an e-mail that you’d like to delete, use a one finger swipe down and
you will hear More, swipe again with one finger and you will hear Trash.
Double tap and the e-mail is deleted.

If you are actually in an open message and have reached the end of the
message, you flick to the right 3 times to get to Delete and then double tap at
that point.

Not quite sure what you mean about swipe down, so have tried swipeing down
with 2 or 3 fingers and that just takes me to the next page. Once I have a
message selected I only have the option to mark, move or archive. The only way
to get to trash is to first select move.

    Thanks

      Hi Linda.

To delete, when focused on the message, simply swipe down twice to trash
and then double tap. Sounds like you are swiping once and then activating the
More option but if you swipe again you should see trash.

      Regards.

Using iphone 4s and ios 7When deleting emails, after selecting them I
only have the option to mark, move or archive so to get them into the trash
folder I first have to select move then trash. Is it possible to get trash as
an option after selecting the emails instead of having to first select move?

      Thanks
      Linda
