Many Thanks you for your below suggestion.  

I have already tried the application key route, but there is no option to
delete.  There is a way using the book mark manager but this is so long
winded and I wonder if there is a short cut to delete a book mark.

hi henry,

highlight the bookmark you want to delete and bring up the context menu.
then you can either just press letter D or cursor to delete on that menu and
press enter.
