I suspect it's going to need someone sighted who knows what they're doing to take a look at it but that will have to wait....so in the meantime I'm stuck with this dinosaur of a Dell desktop...still at least I can use it!! If you have enough sight to know that the black screen remains, or if you don't have a button you may have pressed for mute, then it's not that problem. The volume settings could have got altered though. Thought I'd mention these things just in case ...
