For what its worth ...
Having tried Easy Reader and like you not found it to my taste, I tried
Victor Reader Soft and have found it much easier to operate. Good luck

I am looking for a good programme for reading daisy books; I have tried
"Easy Reader" from Dolphins and do not like it and cannot get on with it.
I had half-expected that Kurzweil would do the trick but nothing doing.
