I have the Goodmans and use it regularly but I think that the reception of the
Argos small portable Radio is far superior and also the volume and sound
quality on earphones is better.
However the battery life on the Argos Radio is not as long lasting as the
Goodmans. I also enjoy the fact that you can attach a Lanyard loop to the
Goodmans, which you cannot do with the Argos Radio. In practice then I tend to
have both on the go, being charged one after another on the same cable. Whilst
I am using one I am charging the other. Both radios are very light and small
if I go away I take both. If reception is the important issue then I always use
the Argos. If conversely reception in any area is strong and especially if I am
moving about I tend to put the Goodmans on around my neck on a lanyard and
listen from there.

Both are cheap enough for owning both not to be an extravagance.

Hi
I bought one of the Goodmans DAB radios but it did not pick up well in
our area so I returned it.
