I've got some DVDs that are beginning to give me problems with cyclical redundancy check errors. I downloaded a program called CD Check and it seems to be doing something. But its been going for over 17 hours now and according to what the program says its going to take over another 200 until its finished.

Has anyone had any experience of this kind of issue and what programs have you used to try and recover the data?

Does this kind of process naturally take a long time or would I be better off using another computer.
Cheers
Yusuf
