In IE, you could select the import/export menu option and export your
favorits to somewhere else on your hard drive or a CD or something - not
sure if this is what you mean? Its an easy process which the wizard
walks you through.

All, unfortunately I have a corrupted profile on my machine and need to
copy my favorites as a backup.

Can I simply copy the 'favorites' folder somewhere else and keep the
URLs?

I do realise that this can be done with 'new user' but don't want to go
this route.
