Try double tap and hold on with the second tap. A menu appears above where the
text is, with copy, select all, paste etc. You will need to locate this and
double tap on your choice. Test it on this email

Mike, tapping twice while on edit as suggested didn't change the situation
unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Anyone is having this problem or any idea on how to sort it?

I'm glad someone brought up this topic. Two questions please:
On my iPhone, in the body of received emails, choosing edit from the rotor
then flicking up/down doesn't give me any options as it used to do. And it
is not just that VO is not reading the edit menu options but flicking
up/down doesn't give any options, because if I just went ahead and double
tabbed the screen nothing happens.
I find this bug very inconvenient. If memory serves, this issue started
happening two or three iOs updates ago. Is anyone else having similar
problems?
Second question: how do you copy the last thing VO said? *smile*

I know the thing you don't, and don't know the thing you do. To copy the
whole thing, double tap into the edit field, then rotor to edit, then flick
down to select all, then double tap, then flick down to cut then double
tap,
then go to the app you want to paste into, then rotor to edit or actions,
