John, try one on your CD player right now. Many modern  CD players play mp3
files. Make sure you don't have your music in folders though. Some expensive
CD players can read folder content, but many cheaper models  aren't able to.
Also, many home DVD players play mp3 files. You might want to give that a
try, too.  Or, best of all, why not hard wire your computer into your
stereo. 

If you don't have success with any of this, you certainly can create a music
or audio CD using Easy CD creator.
