Hi Joe.

yes setting up these things is really a piece of cake, certainly with the
netgear routers and I think some of the Belkin ones as well. Others here have
recommended LynkSys routers as well.

If you buy one with an ADSL modem built in then you should find access
relatively straight forward. You can buy hard disks that plug into the router
as well so you don't have to have a particular PC turned on to access the
drive. You also get FTP access if you want it so you can use the drive over
the internet while you are away if required. I think Freecom or someone like
that do a model with 500 GB storage for about £100.

Regards

Graham

Subject: [access-uk] connecting two computers

Hi all, I have a second computer, a desktop and wish to run them on my
broardband connection. I understand that I need a roota modem. My question
is, can a totally blind person set it up or will I need eyes.
sincerely joe.
