Hi Alex, It is actually more secure to buy online, than in a shop. Imagine how easy it would be for the retailer in a shop to take your card behind the counter, and copy the information from it? This is not so bad with chip and pin, but very easy to transact using your card as if it were a telephone transaction. All they would need, would be the card number, security number and expiry date, all of which is written on your card. So my belief is that shopping online is much safer than having another human being handle your card physically. Just my opinion of course.
