Hi Alex,

It is actually more secure to buy online, than in a shop. Imagine how easy
it would be for the retailer in a shop to take your card behind the counter,
and copy the information from it? This is not so bad with chip and pin, but
very easy to transact using your card as if it were a telephone transaction.
All they would need, would be the card number, security number and expiry
date, all of which is written on your card.

So my belief is that shopping online is much safer than having another human
being handle your card physically.

Just my opinion of course.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve,

If I can download most programs when purchasing online, then I may start
purchasing online, as long as the site I am purchasing from has a secure
payment method. One of the other reasons I hesitate to shop online is due
to concerns about security of card details.
