Hi Colin

Well first of all, I'll be cheeky and give our contact details. As professionals, we must accept that our J-Say product lends itself to more than just the specific group of visually impaired people with or without physical difficulties. It could also be useful in other contexts such as the one you describe.

Telephone 08452-303015, or better still visit our web site at
www.tandt-consultancy.com
and select the J-Say link.

Now, GHG can be contacted at:
GHG Software Developments Ltd 01908 847171 or email
Malcolm.grant@xxxxxxxxxx

Brian,

Thanks awfully for your response. Yes, it would be very useful to have GHG's contact details, there web site appears to be under further development at present and details such as that were difficult to find.

I am interested for a number of reasons relating to useability for a member of staff with a multiple learning difficulty coupled with a upper limb muscular skeletal disorder - and a reluctance [bone idleness] to embrace the functionality of such technology to assist and empower themselves.

It would appear that for the sake of £600 plus a couple of days half day training they would rather insist on permanent 'support worker' proffision funded by access to work at a cost of over £19.50 per hour.

Personally I believe this to be an abuse of the scheme and an action that could well deprive communication support and reading support for those that have a more genuine need.

If you would forward that contact number, I would be very grateful.

Best wishes

Hi Colin

I know a reasonable amount about Talking Point. I have seen it working, and I know something about how internally and technically it works. It really depends upon what your question is as to whether I can help. Because I am heavily involved with creating a competitive product, I may not be the best person to ask. What you could do is to contact the manufacturers, GHG, I have their telephone number if you do not.

Please get back to me if I can help further.
