Hi John Well it is out of warranty but I would expect the battery to last longer than 3 months, it lasted a year on the first battery. I am not spending any more money on it, I have purchased a watch from the cooperative independent living company, part of the coop, it is on amazon for £28 but got it for £18, you need to shop around. I am not having much luck. The inconvenience and cost of keeping up to its unreasonable battery demands make it not suitable for purpose to my way of thinking, and I would therefore return it stating this and tell them that you want a similar replacement but which has a reasonable battery life expectation or your money back. Only by people doing this will they rethink what they supply and make sure in future that they only supply goods which have a reasonable battery life. I am loathed to buy another watch from cobalt as they don't seem to last very long nowadays. Regards Adrien I use BullGuard to keep my computer clean.
