I think, you will find, that it is the case with second-hand zone, unless it
has changed lately, it is invitation only.

That is not quite true Colin. People are able to join themselves but it is
by request. This means they can join themselves but their request must be
aproved by the moderator before they can send or receive any messages.
Subscription is not by invitation as this implies that only the owner or
moderator can invite them.
