Thanks Barrie. I wondered about recommending Blindsquare. I know it isn't a
bus app but would it tell him what he is passing so he knows where to get
off?

If it's for the iPhone, try traveline GB.

A friend, who is a mobility instructor, is working with a guy who uses buses
a lot and has asked her to recommend an app he could use to make this
experience less stressful.

Any suggestions?
