What you have to do if you are a JAWS user is to go into the verbosity menu
and set style sheet processing to ignore all. You can see the menu items in
the tracker frame.

Hi Barry,

I was able to click on a link with Jaws version 7.0 which said it was to do
with food and menu items but once in there all I could make out, (with my
limited sight, was two blue boxes with white frames around them, one above
the other and all Jaws could read me was something about Whoppers and flame
grilled burgers which I have tried to copy in quotes below.

"Burger King Menu, Whoppers and Fire-Grilled Burgers

TOP
tracker frame end"

As far as I can make out not much use to someone who uses screen readers.
