Hi Jill.
When you plug the phone in to the charger, can you press the talks key followed
by soft key 2? This will indicate firstly whether the phone is working from
the charger, but also whether the battery is holding any charge.

I purchased a new charger for my antique original 6600, thinking it was
broken. Having had the charger on, I still can't switch on the phone. I'm
wondering whether the battery's given up the ghost, or whether the socket's
gone, or something else. any ideas would be very helpful indeed. Thanks.
