If you hold the close open button down while closing the watch, there won't be a click. That is what I use to do, by the way. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I cannot feel any hairs on my wrists *smile* Jackie but I always got those bracelet straps catching my hairs! I also found when I went to a jewellers to change straps, I have very limited in the choice of straps because of the width of the strap. Very disappointing but I know how you feel about looking at the Braille watch discretely. Then of course nothing I do is discrete so I was always told off in class as I never choose my moments correctly and the click could always be heard as I closed the watch. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Brown" <thebrownsplace@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Richard

I have had a Braille watch ever since I learnt to tell the time as a tot
and, in the main, have been happy with my purchases and gifts. I prefer an expandable strap though, and this is where taking any watch to the jewellers
becomes expensive at times. I wish the tactile watches were smaller, but
long may they continue to be available. You still can't beat opening the
lid for the time quietly, even though the majority of us have our phones to
hand these days.

Kind regards,

I've experienced some of these watches from RNIB and, to be honest,
wouldn't want to be seen dead in most! I was always particular about
how I'd accessorize, never had a lot of luxuries but watches have
always been a big thing for me in my youth, as would most young men,
so thankfully I heard about the tactile watches from Tissot. Not cheap
at around £300 and I even think that they've stopped production of
these? A real shame if so, as they're so James Bond the way that the
glass will pulsate under your pinky where the hands are! Takes a bit
of getting used to, but like anything, worth getting to grips with as
it still impresses! I was lucky enough to have found mine second hand
and if indeed these are no longer available, will be the only way to
find them now so be careful.

Eleanor you should know that everything is sold on Amazon! Thanks all for
your help I have a Liberace trying to get out so I will go for the best
one.
I also tried the cheaper ones and sent them back a while ago. Yes the
online shop is still not fixed I don't know why.

Cheers

Ron

Hello folks, could someone tell me where I can get a good quality
mens
Braille or tactile watch. I have tried RNIB but they have stopped selling
the good ones.

  Thanks

  Ron
