George, the two kinds I used to purchase were 3 by 2 inch (4 came together on
one sheet) and 5 by 4 inch (I think it was 2 per sheet). The second was the
perfect size to fit on a single cassette box. The smaller ones were excellent
for labelling herb and spice jars. I’ve now got rid of my Brailler and intend
only to use the Labeller.

Hi Alison,
It’s not that clear labels suitable for embossing are not available at all.
For example, in the pharmaceutical industry, those known as “parallel
importers” very often use clear self-adhesive labels to add the mandatory
braille on medicinal packaging when they import from countries where it in not
law to do so.
What we might be able to do, provided there are some popular sizes, is to see
if we can “piggy-back” an existing order and get a small supply for re-sale.
However the $64,000 question is what size or sizes to look out for.

I’m flabberghasted!
I rang RNIB this afternoon to order cd-sized self-adhesive labels, as I have
run out.
Not only don’t they sell these anymore, but they also don’t sell virtually any
others either. for example the long strips or the sheet of 4 or 6 labels. The
only self-adhesive labels they now sell are a Perkins-sized sheet.
I label my CDs, my herbs and a myriad of other things. Am I really going to
have to cut bits off Perkins-sized sheets in future?
