Hi Will

An 80 cell display is indeed one line of Braille, and it isn't that
long because you can use keys on both ends of it to read with your
left or right hands to advance the text. An 80 cell is much better in my
opinion on a PC.

And if you want a recommendation, go for the Alva BC680 from Optelec.
It has USB and Bluetooth, and can do all sorts of nice things like
allow you to split the display so you have a portion of it for what is
on your PC screen using USB, and another portion connected via
Bluetooth to your phone. I'm not saying you would always want to do
that, I certainly don't, but it's a feature. And I have to say the
Braille on the Alva is second to none.

hi all does anyone know, is an 80 cell display just 1 huge line of
braille please, or is it 2 physical lines of 40 characters?
I assume if one big line that be a lot of stretching to read it smile
