I would think the keyboard on a blackberry would not be a problem for totally blind people with sensitive and dexterous fingers. My son had a blackberry and showed it to me. My HTCOzone has the same sort of keyboard, and I love it. ----- Original Message ----- From: Vincent Thacker To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, January 19, 2014 2:37 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: blackberry q10 with screen reader Louise, I have never even touched a Blackberry, but it may be worth looking at this forum discussion page where the screen reader is discussed, and yes there is one. Sounds as if it was designed for previous models, but it also sounds as if it may work on the q10 up to a point. http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-q10-f272/10-2-q10-screen-reader-875201 Of course, many people are attracted by the physical keyboard on a Blackberry on those models that have one, though I can't honestly see my fingers being fine enough to be very efficient with one. I’m guessing there aren’t many Blackberry screen reader users around. However, if you should choose an iPhone or Android device, you’ll probably get lots of help and info from other users, podcasts, web sites, etc. Just a thought. Regards. Further to my earlier messages on upgrades, i have heard that blackberry also has a screen reader. Has anyone any experiences with it on the q10? Is it accurate and reliable and also is it good with apps that i may download? Any reviews on the phone would be helpful too. Thanks, Louise. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
