David,

I have two Western Digital 120GB USB external drives for my laptop and have
had no problems with either.

I got this model as it requires no external power supply and draws its
supply from the USB port.

As far as I know they are all simply called removeable or external hard
drives!

Subject: [access-uk] backup hard drive name

Hi All:

Please forgive this off-topic question, but I am sure that someone hcn help?

I want to buy a backup drive, not a biggie as I already have, but the type
which is a lap top hard drive in a case, which plugs into either a single or
two USB ports.

What are they called?

I HAVE HEARD THEM DESCRIBED AS SHIRT POCKET DRIVES - THIS HASN'T HELPED ME
THOUGH!

I can then buy one on line!

TIA
