Happy to be of service. The Apple TV problem does sound bizarre, though - most of those programs I've tried work pretty efficiently.

Hey ya Vince! You're an absolute star! Yup, they are very accessible withjaws, easy to use and fairly quitck. Only one I found a problem with wasthe main one I wanted which was for the apple tv. I got to 49 percent of aconversion of a 725 meg .avi file and we'd taken over 6 hours for that! Iscrapped it and used the mp4 converter which did exactly the same thing butonly took about ten or fifteen mins to convert. I imported the end result into itunes and was instantly able to watch the film on my apple tv withairplay in the lounge on the other side of the house! Absolutely excellent!Cheers mate! BTW Apple TV is totally awesome! And really accessible! I aven't used those that dealwith Apple producs, but the others that I have tried are usable with a screen reader. http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/guides/free-video-to-ipod-converter.htm There's a large suite of these media converters, all free. I will say however, that I don't know if it works with those file types, as I have mainly used it to convert files downloaded from youtube, and unfortunately don't have any of either of the file types you want to usein my video library, so can't check to see if it does or doesn't.
