Hi Adrien -
I don't know which OS you are using, and I haven't tried to uninstall it,
but have looked on this Vista machine, and the choice to uninstall is there
under programmes and features.
Maybe you've got to stop it from running first. The only other things I can
think of are to roll back using system restore, or to contact Avast and ask
them how to uninstall.
What happens if you run it to scan your hard drive, doesn't it then inform
you of the date of the database used?
