Hi, I have recently been involved with the setting up of an audio book club in Dublin Ireland. I believe that audio books are for everyone, not just blind/visually impaired people. People are on the move so much these days, traveling by car, by train or by bus. MP3 players are very popular, that it makes them very accessible by everyone. In our book club, we do have some blind and visually impaired people, but we also have some fully sighted people too. We meet every two months, and discuss two books at a time. I have two questions. 1. is there any audio book club that either exist for blind and visually impaired people in the uk, or is there any audio book club that exists for both visually impaired and fully sighted people. 2. Are there any general email discussion groups for audio books? ones that are not affiliated to any organization, such as calibre or RNIB for example?
