for windows 10. I tried what you said and it works fine.

Hi Alison,
The simplest way to do this, if you are talking about Outlook, is to find your
document in My Documents, don’t open it, but copy it to the clipboard. Now go
back to the body of your message, and press Control+V to paste it. It will not
paste it into the message, rather, it will attach it.

I’ve done this thousands of times but the shortcut key for doing same has just
vanished from my memory. So, please help as I have a message ready to go but
just can’t remember how to attach the document.
