Dave says

"for the UK version I think it is now dot 4 followed by 2346."

Well I Tried this on my Braille display.

I can say for sure if I do what you just said in an email address, on my
Braille display, it won't work!

I must do dot 4 *only* for the at sign.

"Again, this is a perfect illustration of why we need one unified code,
which will, incidentally, mean most email addresses can be written in grade
2!"

Far better to have hardcopy Braille same as if using a Braille display.

I have been known to do the Braille I n g sign on my Braille display, as
part of web address. Why? because it was part of web address in hard copy
Braille.

I have said this many times, the rules for hard copy Braille have become
more and more, (not less and less) confusing, and/or complicated.

Regards, Derek
