Don't know, it depends which contract you have gone for.

Are you on Broadband your way? There are 3 of these tariffs:

£9.99, £14.99, and £19.99[these prices haven't taken in to account the
reduction in the rate of VAT]

The last of these will get you top speeds at all times. However, if you're
on a different deal that includes say line rental, and/or free evenings and
weekend calls, then speed will be different, you need to check your
contract, why not look online to see what you get for your particular deal?-

I pay just over twenty quid a month, what should that get me?

I still think there's a fault somewhere though as there's no way my mail
should take three and a half hours to download just because I'm
downloading one file from plusnet at the same time, it wasn't like this
until just before christmas, prior to that it was fine and I'd been doing
this for a few months prior to christmas.

Yes, Plusnet do do this, but it depends on which tarif you are on, there
are several called Plusnet Your Way, and the more you pay, the more you
get! -

Its my understanding that PlusNet slow internet speeds down between
certain times of the day. You said it is occasionally fine, so maybe
this could be the problem? If PlusNet actually wised up to proper
business practices then there would be no need to only allow users full
speed for a very small portion of the day, but that's a hole other
discussion.

Subject: [access-uk] anyone having problems with plusnet?

Hi

Since just before christmas my connection, mail and web has been very
very slow for most of the time but occasionally its fine, I figured that
it was a problem at their end and it'd be sorted once christmas was
over, well, its over and my connection's still painfully slow.

I think there's a way of checking your connection but I don't know how,
can anyone give me someinstructions and does anyone have any other ideas
as to what it could be?

Back in October we had Sky plus put in and so now have to have the phone
cable hooked up to the box, this problem didn't start at that time but
could it have anything to do with it? I wonder if they were playing
about with the box and have upset the line or something.

Thanks for any help
