Wow! I didn’t realise that speech and voice over were not the same thing. I just thought it was semantics. What is the difference, please? Siri can turn voice over off and on but not speech. Three finger double tap toggles the speech on and off. Just press and hold the home button until it beeps, then say, “Turn voice over on/off”. Also, if you have the accessibility short cut set up in settings>general>accessibility, you can press the home button three times to turn on/off voice over. If you need more help with setting this in settings, just ask.
