Amazon Echo is a digital personal assistant speaker that does many things
that is controlled by voice. It is linked to the internet and to any smart
appliances you have around the home, such as apple TV, lights or heating
systems. There is a central box that picks up your voice commands and
questions and, well, does what you ask. You might like to know the weather,
just ask; you might like to turn the heating down - just tell it; you might
like to turn the tv over - just tell it; you might like to know who won the
latest match - just ask. It is linked to at least a couple of hundred apps
too, so it can do whatever those apps do if you tell it.
Thing is, it is only linked to and available to America for now. You could
possibly buy one on the internet, but it wouldn't work fully over here in
the UK. I'm sure it will come to Europe soon though.
