Hi Janet
Amazons voice assistant is called Alexa. The echo is the range of speakers that
Amazon produces which work with Alexa although Alexa itself is available on a
wide range of devices from portable speakers to home entertainment systems to
mobile and desktop apps. confusingly, there is a product called the Amazon
assistant which is a browser extension and toolbar. I’ve never used it, that it
is designed to help you search for products on Amazon from other websites as
well as compare prices more effectively when browsing. As I say I haven’t used
this program so can’t really comment further on it.
