I would suggest checking the availability first, then getting the box, and if 
you are still having problems then look at the ariel.  I thought I was going to 
have to upgrade the very old areil on our house and was quoted between £80 and 
£150.  Having got the freeview box I found that this was entirely unnecessary.

It maybe necessary for you to install a wideband aerial in order to be able to 
receive all the available channels.
