Just to say, not all Index embossers are double sided. Look for S or D in
the model name. For example, the Index Basic S is single sided and the D is
double sided.

Subject: [access-uk] Re: advice for braille embosser
Hi Jeff.
Take a look at the embraille embosser soled by sight and sound. It's a
single sided embosser and I believe it is supplied with tiger suite which is
a Braille translation program. Index embossers are double sided and come
with translation on board as standard. You plug a pen drive in, select your
document to emboss with preferred grade of Braille and away you go. It may
not offer as much flexibility as duxbury or similar software, but it does
the job for average use. You can sometimes pick up some real bargains on
second hand lists like recycle it if you don't want to buy new. If you'd
like further advice or clarification, drop me a note off list.

Hi,
I need a neat embosser, want it to have its own translation programme
doesn't have to be fast, and will get moderate use.
Any tips?JF
