Mark, I already have such a cable. I now need some kinda plug system, that will let me connect the stereo plug from the speakers, to the 2 phone sockets on the cable box,

Billy

Billy,

You should be able to get a SCART splitter cable. This has a scart lead
connector on one end and a set of audio and video phono plugs on the other.

Take the phono outputs and connect them to the input of an amplified speaker
system.

Some of the PC speakers may not perform well with this as the level of audio output from the scart socket is lower than that of a PC sound card. You may
have to run it through a proper stereo type amplifier, but the PC speakers
may well be good enough for your needs.

Ray, I apologise, if this question has been asked before on list, but if it
has I didn't see the post.

It's not the speakers I'm Interested in, but how to connect such speakers to
the cable box, Billy

Is Freelists having a touch of the lurgy or something? Sure I've seen
this message before.

Anyhow Billy, I think what you want are some powered speakers.
Active, Powered, or battery powered, would be your probable key words
in any search for such speakers.

there are quite a few around from not very good quality to pretty
respectable.

hi guys,
I'm wanting to add a pair of external stereo speakers to my virgin
media
cable box,

Don't want to connect the box to my pc, just want to be able to listen
to
the cable box through a pair of stereo speakers.

I'm sure there is someway to achieve this.
Any Ideas please,
Billy
