Yes photographs can be taken by totally blind individuals. I have done this with ordinary cameras, and once I had a cellular phone with a camera. I am five feet tall so you may have to arrange a different alignment for you because of your height. But, ask someone to show you where on you if the camera were pointed would point about chest level on most people. Mind you, I only took photographs of people. I don't know how this method would work when taking pictures of inanimate objects or animals. Then have the person line themselves with the camera and step back a few feet. Then snap away. You would have to practice somewhat before getting the real hang of it. But this is how I did it. There are blind photographers out there. They may employ different techniques for getting the thing accomplished. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Williams Family" <welivehere7@xxxxxxx>

Subject: [access-uk] accessing photography

Hi
I've just seen an advert for the Nokia N8. A man, who i assumed is totally blind is talking about taking photos and describes how he takes a photo of a roller-coaster. Is this just another tacky hearts and flowers sales gimmic, or or can blind people realistically take photos which are of any useful quality. I am going out with my son tomorrrow and am propsing to borrow one of our childrens cameras and get them to judge the results. I'd be very interested to hear what people think.
