Hello Derek,

Oops! Someone should have done equality analysis on that one before making the
change. RNIB should have been onto this. Could it be that the ballot papers are
no longer produced in house but are now generated by a company commissioned to
provide the service, and that the procurement contract omitted to specify the
inclusion of the numbers?

Best,
Clive

Subject: [access-uk] access to voting

I have just been told by our council's Electoral Services Officer:

"A change in legislation means there will be no numbers, against the candidates
printed on the Ballot Papers, the Candidates will still be listed alphabetic
order"

So seems the numbers in Braille on the guide we place over ballot
paper,
means nothing now.

Regardsd, Derek
