This is news to me. If the card is the same as mine, it has an identification number which as far as I can tell has no relationship to any telephone number.

Subject: [access-uk] a question regarding the 195 directory enquiries service

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can advise me regarding the best way to
resolve the following issue.

My wife Carol was given a card for the 195 directory
enquiries service when she was studying at Queen Alexandra
College in Harborne in 1992. I wasn't studying there at the
time, but Carol informs me that all the cards were linked to
the number used at the time for the college switchboard, and
although Carol does remember occasionally using her
Directory Enquiry card when she was at college, she has not
used it since, as she believes that the cards have to be
linked to a particular number, I.E., the owner of the card
has to own or have the use of their own landline telephone.

What I'm wondering really, is which bit of BT should I speak
to on Carol's behalf to enable us to either arrange for a
new card, or inform BT that Carol's circumstances have
changed and in view of this can she update the details
linked to her old Directory enquiry card so that she can use
it again.

Thank you in advance for any replies.
