Hi Stephen - Thanks for all this detail, most helpful.
The keys you mention for Outlook express and Internet explorer etc, do these
just launch those applications without having to be configured in some way?
I'll order from Tekdata seeing as you found them so helpful.

| No, you don't need to use the installation CD, but without it there are
six
| curiously shaped keys under the last row of keys that aren't activated and
| which would otherwise manipulate window media player. I didn't install the
| software for the keyboard and I don't regret it.

| The only other keys that do anything unusual are the four in a row at the
| top right, which activate calculator, outlook express, internet explorer

| hibernate respectively. These do not use the software included.

| The only drawback I have encountered is that top right hand key which
sends
| the keyboard into hibernation, which you can easily press if you don't
pick
| up the keyboard properly.

| I still maintain that these are the best keyboards I have ever bought and

| have bought seven other models from other manufacturers over the past few
| years that have all been unsatisfactory in some way or other.

| Basically I can't recommend them highly enough.

| You can telephone tecdata on the number I gave in the original email, but
I
| only used them because they had someone who was prepared to describe the
| keyboard in great detail, but others can buy on my recommendation and
| probably find a cheaper price on the net.

| I made two small errors in my original email, which were that the keyboard
| uses the 2 giga hertz range, and the effective distance the keyboard will
| work from the sender/receiver is more like 20 to 25 metres around my
house.
