John, no if it were graphics, JAWS would say the word Graphic before it.
There are verbosity settings you can set to read only labelled graphics, no
graphics or all graphics.

I am not a Jaws user, but am aware of it.
You may want to look at the settings in it to limit how Jaws deals with
graphics.
I think that there may be a Jaws expert on this list who could help you with
this.

I keep a list of books I want to order from the RNIB Talking Library in a
Word document.
I lay these out by putting TB followed by the number, then a dash and the
title, and then a dash and the author.
Occasionally, for no reason I can work out, when Jaws reads the talking book
number is says something like 24356 terrabites. I wondered if anyone had any
ideas as to why?
Also, occasionally, before reading the line, it says "German"
