Hi

A scanned or set of scanned images still can be a original pdf, so I guess the
assurance is correct.

Hi Gena:
The truth has come to light.

I was assured that it was an original .pdf - it transpires that it was
indeed a scanned image!
Some people just don't seem to understand the difference!

Thanks for your interest.

Hi

Pass it through Kurzweil 1000, Onmipage or Fine Reader to name a few. An
Optical Character Recognition package.

Hi

Have you passed it through a OCR engine?

Subject: [access-uk] a PDF which says that it is empty

Hi all:

A friend has sent to me a 54k PDF document which, when I attempt to open it,
tells me (after all three convert options) that it is empty.
I am told that it is an untagged two page document

Any ideas why this is happening, how can I resolve it, or thirdly, how might
the original be constructed in a better form.

TIA

David W Wood
