If your problem persists, try:

http://www.thomsonlocal.com/

I have recently looked up businesses in my area, and it does give phone
numbers.

Hi Ron

I've just tried putting a random company such as Asda in the company name
box, as I would normally do, then Kirkcaldy, Fife, for the location in the
next box. It brings up the various Asda outlets, including Pharmacy,
Insurance etc, but no phone numbers. This is really weird as I've used the
website for years and never experienced the problem until my last few
visits. I've never registered with them either, just go in and use the
search facility.

How peculiar. I've even had my son check the screen to see if the phone
number is shown in a different font or colour that JAWS might not pick up,
but it definitely isn't listed. I've tried it using JAWS 9.0.whatever and
version 8.0.

Old age must be catching up with me after all. (smile).

Hi Jackie. Yes I use it quite a lot. Just in case it has changed, I just
searched for a company and it came up with Tel number and an option to send
the company an e-mail. It is the same dialogue box as before. Try again.

Cheers

Subject: [access-uk] Yellow Pages Online query

Hi Guys

I wonder if anyone has used the website
www.yell.com
and tried to locate a phone number for a business. What I've started to
notice is that when I enter in company names, or categories of companies I
am looking for, an example being joiners, their addresses come up no problem
for my area, but no phone or mobile numbers. This never used to be the
case, and I wonder if anyone else has searched for telephone information and
been unsuccessful?

Perhaps it's me, but I thought it was an online business phone book!
(smile).

Any suggestions?

Jackie
