No. That thing with sending out test messages is just annoying for everyone
else who belongs to the group, and in my opinion should only be done as a
last resort.

If it's problems with yahoo groups, your account is probably bouncing
messages.

The group owner can send you a reactivation mail, which you need to reply to
and then your mail should startt arriving again.

If you belong to several yahoo groups and this keeps happening, the easiest
thing to do is to register with yahoo, though unfortunately this will throw
up the problem of reading characters in a box before it will let you
complete the registration.  I realise this is a problem for many people
using access technology, but if you can find a way round it, it is worth it,
because you can then register your e-mail addresses and associate them with
your new yahoo account, through which you can check the status of your
addresses (and unbounce them if necessary), and have more control over your
groups.

This seems to be becoming more of a problem lately, have no idea why.
