Hi Roger,

The "Boot from CD" option will only come up if your BIOS has
been set to look at the CD first.

As Mark has said, BIOS is not an easy thing to advise on, so
unless your wife is fairly computer literate, I'd echo his
advice, and pop into a local shop.

Hi Doris

No confusion I understand what you're saying and feel you
may well be right. 
Unfortunately I don't know how to access it and feel it may
well be beyond my level of expertise. Unless the whiz kid
experts on this list can come up with a procedure I can
understand it seems as if it's a shop job here. So close to
Christmas that is expense I didn't really need.
