Hi Damon,

Correct. You would need to upgrade to JAWS Professional.
Will they not supply the laptop with XP Home instead?

George.

Subject: [access-uk] XP Pro with jaws 8?

HI. I have the standard version of jaws 8.

I've just found quite a good deal on a notebook computer but
it has XP Pro
on it.

Basically, this means my version of jaws won't work on it.
Is that right? Or
have the rules changed a bit now that vista is on the scene?

Any recommendations for a very portable wireless notebook PC
with at least 1
gig RAM appreciated. Currently I don't know if I should
upgrade to Vista
Home but I guess there's no real danger?

My main uses are for web surfing and email though I'm sure I
will want to
progress further with it.

Thanks

...Damon
