Hi Billy
If memory serves me correctly, you can buy an extension box that comes with instructions and a tool that is used to put the wires in. Ring round electrical outlets, such as Maplins, and see if they have such a thing.

Trevor, thanks for the reply. I have already been in touch with BT, and they tell me it will cost £132 for an engineer to come out to my home, and fit an extension box in my bedroom.
That is the same price i payed BT for my line in the first place.
Thats why i'm thinking it would be easier to do the job ourselves.
If i could find out which colour wire goes where, my wife maybe be able to do it for me.

is it possible for blind people to wire up a BT extension telephone box?. Billy **Hi Billy,
Probably, but you need to know the colours of the 2, 3 or 4 tiny wires in the cable and the numbers of the push-down sockets in the box. You will also need a push-down tool, but they are only a few pence. Given that you might not be able to do the job without sighted help, you might as well get a vision to do it for you!
