Hi John,

Yes of course. The Router MUST be wired to the PC
controlling it.

George.

I have vague memories that the install only works correctly
with a wired connection, not wirelessly.

George, I don't have access to the manual, so could you
check that please?

Hi Sharon,

Just to clear up a point about the web comment. In actual
fact, you do NOT require to be on the Internet at all to
access the router's "Web Interface".
You simply require the Router to be connected to your
system.

To try and keep it simple, behind every web address, is
something called an IP Address. (Internet Protocol)

So, if you want to access your Router, you can run Internet
Explorer (even with no Internet connection), and in the
place you normally type the web address you want to go to,
you type http://192.168.1.1 which should then find your
Router, and present you with a kind of menu.

Going back to the CD, when this autoruns, there should be
three options.
"Run QuickStart Wizard", "User's Guide" and "Exit".

If the router is connected to your PC, and powered on, the
QuickStart option should find it. If it doesn't, it's
either a faulty one, or you have a bad connection somewhere.

George.
